South African cooking class

Welcome to Danskarby and a cooking course about South African food culture with the founder of Danskarby and chef Louise Mérus. We will dive into the South African food culture and prepare recipes från the cookbook Mina smaker från Kapstaden, written by Louise. The South African kitchen is influenced by Southeast Asia, England, India, Holland, France, and of course many of the African countries.

Together we will cook a buffet of traditional South African dishes and some of Louise's favorites with a Nordic twist. On the dinner menu for the night is among other things Cape Malay mussels, Piri-piri shrimps, lamb, hearty salad with inspiration from Cape town, and Malva pudding. The cookbook is for sale at the event for 25 euros.
